One of our favorite parks here in Orlando is Universal Studios, in fact its the expiation of Epcot, this is definitely our favorite park and it is very much our go-to when we want to take the family for a day out. Anyone coming to Orlando should think about heading to Universal Studios and whether you are coming with friends, family or on your own, there is something for everyone to enjoy. A quick tip for you, make sure that you buy your Universal Orlando tickets online before you come, so that you can enjoy the very best prices on park entry. When you do get here, these are the rides which we believe are the best, or at least our favorites, and you should check them out first before the lines get too big.
Jurassic Park: The Ride
Jurassic Park was one of those movies which everyone loved and the ride is no different, offering an attraction which all ages can enjoy. The ride is a log flume adventure which takes you by boat through this weird and wonderful animatronic Jurassic World. Everything starts off nice and gentle but soon chaos ensues and you and the other passengers have to hang on for dear life as you are hunted down by a giant T-Rex, the ride culminates in an 84ft drop which will leave your stomach and heart still waiting for you at the top.
Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem
This is a great ride for families and those who have kids and although we don’t actually fit into either category, we love it too! This humorous and immersive ride takes you through the universe of Despicable Me and introduces you to some of those pesky Minions. An easy going ride which focuses on fun rather than frights and the surrounding area of the ride offers plenty for kids such as play areas which are of course in the the Despicable Me theme.
Revenge of the Mummy
This rollercoaster will have you hanging on for dear life as you rattle through the tomb of The Mummy at speeds reaching almost 50mph. This ride is fraught with danger and you can expect to scream, jump and cling on for dear life as you fly through the tomb in both a forwards and backwards motion, fleeing fire, scarabs and all manner of deathly danger.
The Walking Dead Ride
Last year Universal Studios opened up a temporary Walking Dead maze which proved to be so popular that they turned it into a permanent fixture in the park. This is a haunted house like you have never seen before, with some of the most realistic graphics and visuals you are likely to see. This is not, we repeat not, for the faint of heart and although I’ve been through the maze on more than one occasion, it still scares the living daylights out of me. Enter at your own risk.
There are so many great rides at Universal of course but these 4 are by far and away our favorites.
