Javier Burillo – Reasons to Quit Drinking For a Period of Time
Given that so many of us have been confined to our homes for much of the past 12 months, the rate of alcohol consumption has rise. This actually happened to me in the early days of the first quarantine but thanks to fitness coach Javier Burillo I was able to see the error of my ways and make a change. I decided that to reassess things I’d have a couple of months without drinking and I have to say that it was incredibly worthwhile. If you have been having a tipple too many of late, here is why you should hit the brakes for a while.
Recover The Body
Alcohol takes a lot out of the body, from our skin to organ function, and a break every now and then just gives it a chance to recuperate and recover. You will find in a couple of weeks after not drinking that your skin is better, you will be sleeping better and you will also find that you have that little bit more energy than you usually do.
This is not about always getting drunk of course, it is just about enjoy a couple of glasses of wine a night, and even when you drink a very small amount, you still feel it in the morning. A mixture of not being able to sleep very well plus the mental recovery, means that you can often feel pretty poor in the morning, and that can have a huge impact on the rest of the day. When you was up feeling fresh and ready for the day, it makes a massive different can this is why it is critical to avoid drinking and to get that fresh feeling, so that you can achieve more.
Reassess The Relationship
This is not about completely cutting alcohol from your life, although you could do that if you wish, but rather it is about reassessing and analyzing your relationship with alcohol. Some people find that the more evenings that they drink, the more their tolerance goes up and the more that it becomes habitual, this is the relationship that we are trying to break. When you take your foot off the pedal a little and you begin to enjoy life without alcohol, it does help you to reassess the relationship which you have, and understand the new habits which you need to create.
No matter how much you drink on a normal basis, it costs money, and can cost a lot of money depending on your drink of choice. With this in mind it just makes sense to have break and save some cash. You may actually be very surprised with just how much money you will save after not drinking for a number of months.
Let’s take the chance every now and again to give our bodies the reset that they all need, to change our ways slightly and do so to help us take stock and change that relationship with alcohol that many have.
