This is either fake or a very poorly bred puppy. I know what website this is from and I have yet to figure out if it is real or fake. The puppies they have pictures of do not look real at all, but if they are I can guarantee the puppies were not born full-term. Probably extremely premature and will die within a year or so.

Maltese puppies and pomeranians and chihuahuas are really this small when they are puppies.. they only grow to be between 4 and 8 lbs and are not poorly bred… just tiny.. as small as a thumb when they are born.

Based on the way the fur is spread at the paws it shows that there is more weight, though only slightly more, than your average toy usually posseses. If you look carefully at the eyes they look wet, very difficult to simulate in a toy. The direction the fur is growing is accurate, also very difficult to simulate. But when you also consider that the smallest full grown dog in the world is roughly this size, it makes the concept of a puppy being this size a lot more believable. I’m purdy durn sure it’s fo’ real!

I love how idiots post that it must be a poorly bred dog when they know nothing about it. It’s a toy (or teacup) maltese puppy. You’re looking at a $1,000.00 puppy or better.

I love how idiots (Ashley) think that just because you pay 1,000 (which would be on the real low end) for a deformed inbred dog it somehow makes it okay. That dog is horribly inbred and it’s a sad sight to see. A back yard breeder, is a back yard breeder even if they charge a ton.

Bright eyed and no doubt bushie tailed.. This is a cute puppeh, and I expect will make a lovely pet. She certainly doesn’t look like a barnyard dog to my discerning eye! Some folks just need to calm down. Life is too short.

the people out there calling this adorable dog inbred, deformed and from a backyard breeder are the very people buying registered purebreed (inbred) dogs and subjecting them to purist standards such as docking tails and not spaying/neutering. just because someone wants a cute quirky little mixed breed doesn’t make them a bad person. sure, people should adopt but practically every dog owner has, at one point or another, bought a puppy.

relax! it’s cute. take a chill pill. go hug your purebreed.

You all DO realize that there is NO SUCH THING as a teacup anything, don’t you!?! There are NO teacup Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Maltese or anything else! People breed the tiniest of the breed together to get the smallest puppy possible, tack on the word “teacup” and charge an obscene amount of money for a puppy that will more than likely have health problems it’s entire life. Do some research before you start spouting off things as fact. What we have done to dogs is seriously cruel… we breed for qualities that we think are “cute” when it’s actually detrimental to the breed’s health and quality of life. Breeding for the smallest puppy possible is just one example of this, and it needs to stop.

…..take a chill pill. just because you most likely had some kind of terrible experience as a child with a pet doesn’t mean you have to down others thoughts and opinions. its rude. At the end of the day it is just a picture of a puppy that will be loved no matter what could be wrong with him or her.

It’s not the picture of the puppy that incites my reaction, it’s the comments from ignorant people who support the unhealthy breeding practices by buying these “teacup” puppies. By the way, just because a sick or deformed puppy will be loved, it in no way makes it right to breed them. Who wishes for a sick puppy? Really? That was a really weak point you made there…

Everyone who is raging about teacup breeds being imbred is RIGHT. Unfortunately, every purebred dog is imbred, hence how they got to look the way they do. Mutts and rescues are the way to go. Breeding dogs is selfish and irresponsible, no matter what. There are thousands (millions?) of perfectly good dogs out there already who need homes. We made them, now we have a responsibility to take care of them.
Breeding dogs as status symbols is one of the many ways the human race carelessly makes itself happy.
