Entrecard can KISS IT!

I feel guilty about not using the service for days, and then I give it another chance. I go on there, go to my drops inbox and start “dropping” my card through other web-sites. I go until I get the usual response where I get to one web-site and BAM! It starts replicating itself like 100 times by opening up different windows and then friggin’ crashes ma’ computer!!! I feel like we’ve had a decent relationship, but I’m about ready to kiss it goodbye! I’m curious, for the other bloggers on here that use the service, what are your experiences? Is it worth it? Do you have the same issue I’m having?
I’m oficially letting people vote on this one, so leave your opinions on ma’ comments;)

Whew! At least it’s not just me. I thought my computer was on the fritz, but it happens on every computer I use. Sucks.

Certain blogs it does that to mine too. or it opens a computer virus scan. I learned never open one with a kid pictured on it it. (mostly plays music at you) i’m torn i like the ideal behind it, but it’s becoming a pain in the ass

Oh, man, I thought it was just me and my computer… All of a sudden: wham and “page:blank” keeps multiplying like loaves and fishes. Good to know I’m not alone. Most annoying.

I just initiated my account this past Sunday. I, fortunately, have not had this experience. When I entered the realm of Entrecard, I went in with both eyes open and I’m giving it a 90 day trial before I decide. Stay tuned, we’ll see what happens.

At first, I thought it was a problem with just one specific web-site. I figured I’d just stay away from it and it would not happen again. But it keeps happening, on many different websites. I’m ovah it.
Joel Klebanoff - March 25th, 2009
I’ve never had that happen to me. I don’t know if I’ve just been lucky and I’ve never hit the site(s) that are doing that. I doubt it because I do a lot of EC dropping.
The other possibility is that the software that’s doing it might not work on a Safari Web browser running on a Mac, which is what I use. I don’t know.
Of course, now that I’ve said this I’ll probably get hit with it tomorrow.

can you send me a link to this website immediately so I can remove it from our index?
wannasmile - March 25th, 2009
Hi Graham (from Entrecard),
Thanks for taking the time to respond to this. It’s not just one specific web-site that I’ve had this issue with. In fact, the one that I initially stayed away from for a while because of this seems to work now. I don’t even remember which one I clicked on today that started multiplying and opening up multiple windows and then crashed my computer. It literally happens a few times a week to me, and I can’t really pinpoint which one it is as it’s never really consistent. If there are other people here who have had the same issue and know of a profile that is doing this, please contact Graham to let him know about it.

Maybe I do need to get a MAC! Donations anyone?
Joel Klebanoff - March 25th, 2009
I don’t want to sound like a Mac biggot. I only switched to Mac last September (loving it and don’t miss Windows in the least). It might not be the Mac. It might be Safari that blocked it. Safari is also available for Windows.
Safari is a little more lightweight than IE or Firefox. There have been one or two sites that don’t run properly with Safari and I have to go to Firefox to look at them–but it’s only been one or two. And you can’t run the StumbleUpon toolbar. The fact that Safari doesn’t support some programming technologies may sound like a bad thing, but it may also be the reason why these sites weren’t able to spawn a bunch of windows on me. I’m not techie enough to know if that’s what it is.

I use a PC and Firefox and I’ve never had that happen. Of course, now watch it happen.
John | English Wilderness - March 25th, 2009
Hi,
I’ve come across quite a few sites while dropping which suddenly start spawning new windows faster than I can close them. Unfortunately, I can’t pinpoint them because I normally have 3 or 4 windows open at once and when this happens, I normally have to reboot.
I think the site owners are probably unaware of the problem. It’s only happens to me in IE. I’ve never seen the problem in Safari, Chrome or FF.
It almost as though a pop-up script is malfunctioning.
Cheers,
John

The accepted height increase limit is generally regarded as 5cms tops, something further and there is a actual risk of harm or injury, wearing shoe lifts changes the center of gravity within the wearer and great care and practice is required to turn out to be accustomed to the difference, image a lady in high heels, the novice wearer of high heels may be seen walking with uncomfortable and awkward actions, the much more skilled wearer, will walk with assured and confident steps
